Renewable Energy
With energy prices all on the rise it’s not an easy time to make the step to change to renewable energy, and some premises which previously used renewable energy have changed back due to price increase being too high.
Through our tenancies with NHS Property Services, Knowle West Health Park, Clevedon Hospital and CKMP use 100% renewable energy.
At Osprey Court we are not currently using 100% renewable energy but the contract we currently have uses 56% renewables. When our current contract ends in 2023 this is something we are looking to change.
Electric Charging Facilities
As most of you will know we had a dual electric charging point installed outside of our offices at Osprey Court in September 2021, in preparation for our first electric vehicle due August 2022.
We are also looking at other options for electric charging points at other locations, one being Charlotte Keel.
Most of our sites we share the premises with other organisations, this makes it a bit more challenging. However, this doesn’t mean we are ruling it out.
Greener LED (Light Emitting Diode) Benefits
The less energy that is required to provide light, the better. With LED lighting it does depend on the LED device and the lighting fixture, good quality LED’s can last more than 25 times longer than traditional light bulbs making it more energy efficient!
We made the switch at Osprey Unit 21 and replaced the lighting with LED’s.
