What is the BrisDoc Green Board?
We are here to champion everything green and support the NHS in its goal of becoming net zero. Our role is to develop our own Green Plan and oversee the implementation of the strategy.
We also aim to embed a sustainability culture – where all co-owners feel confident in making eco-friendly choices.
Discover how the NHS is becoming greener
Climate change and air pollution poses a major threat to our health now and for future generations. By reducing harmful carbon emissions we will improve health and save lives. That’s why the NHS was the world’s first health system to commit to reaching net zero carbon. By 2040 we will reduce the emissions we control to net zero, saving lives and improving the world we live in.
The Greener NHS Programme
The Greener NHS programme will work with staff, hospitals and partners. We will build on the great work being done by trusts and NHS providers across the country, sharing ideas on how to reduce the impact on public health and the environment, save money and reach net carbon zero.
